Program Description
Tom Turcich is the tenth person to walk around the world and the first to do so with their dog. Featured on Good Morning America, the Kelly Clarkson Show, CNN, and BBC, Tom offers a unique perspective earned by years of traversing the world one step at a time. Through vivid accounts of his adventure, the landscapes he encountered, and the profound kindness he was shown, Tom offers layers of insight that heighten self-understanding and cultivate a global perspective. Paired with his stunning photography, Tom takes students to far-off lands and welcomes them to dream beyond the known horizon. He emphasizes the importance of resilience, goal-setting, and open-mindedness - skills that helped him stay focused on his dream and navigate the challenges in achieving it. Students will be encouraged to consider how these attributes can be learned and applied to reach their goals, but usually, students are most interested in Savannah; the first dog to walk around the world. Luckily, there are plenty of photos of her too.
