Program Description
Through lecture, rainforest butterfly and moth displays and a slide show (Grades 5 and up), introduce students to tropical rainforests: their location, structure and tremendous variety of life. The Lepidoptera displays are awe inspiring! Temperate rainforests are included. Presenter has explored Amazonian, Central American and Indo-Australian Tropical Rainforests for approximately 1000 days including leading major scientific expeditions for the Smithsonian and Field Museums. Also correlates directly to the study of Animal Adaptations and Traits.
