Program Description
Lisa Muchnik's children's book Rainbow Panda is all about finding inner beauty with yogic and SEL themes. The program opens with a reading of the book, followed by stretching, deep breathing, and movement in place. Then, there is a mindfulness exercise based on the book that involves audience participation, including the opportunity for children to answer questions based on the book's themes. The program concludes with all of the children waving rainbow colored scarves. The interactive rainbow visual brings feelings of harmony and excitement to the group. Lisa Muchnik is a local author, nurse anesthetist, yoga instructor, and mom. Rainbow Panda received positive reviews from Kirkus and Booklist, and the sequel Rainbow Panda in Balance will be released in the spring of 2026.
