Program Description
Grades 3-4 / Grades 5-6 Bilingual Creative Program designed to immerse students in literary analysis, independent painting (exploring colors, imagery and individual vision, as it relates to literary pieces presented) and the process of developing their own pieces. With an emphasis on bilingual literature on relevant topics in today’s society, this program incorporates art, poetry, storytelling, dance and music, as the means to engage each participant in exploring cultural identity & character development. Ideal program for ELL and ENL students. It encourages class participation, community building, character development, pride in one’s culture and nourishes a sense of belonging. *Art Project will vary based on dynamic, number of workshops scheduled & number of participants. Each session includes materials for 20 students.
