Program Description
Discover the magic of printmaking with this exciting hands-on technique! Students create unique art prints using gel plates and acrylics, exploring color, texture, and visual storytelling in unexpected ways. Working with simple materials, students apply paint to gel plates using brayers, create patterns and drawings directly on the surface, then press paper over their designs. Each student pulls multiple prints, experimenting with layering and techniques that produce delightfully surprising results! This adaptable workshop seamlessly integrates with any curriculum. Perfect for literature (character interpretation), science (butterfly life cycles), social studies, or as a creative stress-reliever. Moriah collaborates with educators to tailor lessons to classroom timing and objectives. Students develop visual communication skills while enjoying the experimental nature of printmaking—no two prints are ever exactly alike!
