CIRCLE OF DANCE
"Dance For All!" 2025-26
Dance is a universal language that bridges the cultural diversity in a classroom providing students an opportunity to experience the joy of dance and movement as they work, learn, create and perform together. Circle of Dance programs fulfills many social and emotional needs for students: socialization, cultural acceptance, and inclusivity. Teaching artists conduct workshops that begin with warm up exercises (stretching, coordination, isolations and balance), followed by learning about choreography (space, rhythm, energy ,and shapes). Age appropriate, engaging music and movements are used to keep students engrossed, challenged, and discovering the joy of dance. Students participating in a residency of five or more days will work together with the teaching artist to create a dance and have the opportunity to perform for parents and classmates. The residency can be based on a theme; for example, character education, multi-cultural dance or a theme selected by the school. Circle of Dance programs allows students to experience dance in a non-competitive environment often increasing students feeling of self-confidence. Circle of Dance taps into students’ kinesthetic learning potential and promotes the use of imagination and creativity. Our program incorporates character education: respect, tolerance, cooperation, responsibility, kindness. Our program includes ELL students and students with special needs. 1 day Introduction to Dance $350 - up to five, 45 minute classes with one teaching artist. Multi-day residency price to be quoted. Our arts in education coordinator is available to assist in developing a dance residency that meets the needs of your school. We can work with a variety of budgets and visions!
