AutismFriendlyShows.com and Turtle Dance Music will present a fantastic, interactive musical Autism-Friendly Professional Development Training over Zoom, Google Meet or Teams for administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals and parents. We will demonstrate low-costing instruments, sensory room equipment and design, sensory-fidgets, and music technology for teachers to share in their instruction and curriculum. This workshop will cover topics ranging from trends in schools for sensory-friendly events and programing, potential user-friendly musical activities in your school, managing meltdowns, following the children's strengths and a whole range of practical topics that will also be covered. We will also share strategies and tactics for running sensory-friendly programs on the Big Screen/SmartBoards and quick tips for setting up virtual events. Teachers will benefit from the engaging materials, hands-on activities and abundance of take-home materials. Turtle Dance Music has developed their guidelines through graduate work and through our experiences collaborating with thousands of children, teens and adults with developmental disabilities as well as teachers, parents and administrators.
