Program Description
Pioneers in Skirts is an Emmy-nominated 60-min documentary about pioneering ambition. Featured at the 2023 SXSW EDU festival in Austin, TX -- the film is for educators wanting to engage their students in career discussions. PROVIDES: 1. the opportunity to self-reflect on their own ambitions and what could be holding them back, 2. unique perspectives and experiences outside of their current world view, and 3. the inspiration for taking positive action. Pioneers in Skirts is an entertaining, socially conscious impact documentary that addresses the obstacles ambitious women and girls experience. In an inspiring portrait of perseverance and determination, we see how we ALL can address the stereotyping and sexism that can chip away at a woman, limit her potential, and make her feel like she must re-think her dreams.
