Describe the way(s) this program impacts your students learning and how this arts experience correlates with your curriculum:

Students who participate in the Memory Project are not only practicing the technical skill of creating portraits, but they are learning how to make a positive impact in the world through their art. Through this project, students develop an understanding of the world and other cultures, promote kindness and compassion towards other humans, and form connections with children around the world.

Additional comments:

Since the Memory Project does not have an actual presenter that introduces the project and interacts with the students, I put N/A as a few of my responses. However, the Memory Project is truly a remarkable organization. This is my third year getting involved with the project and each year the students are so eager and excited to spread kindness and share their art with these children. It's so wonderful to be able to participate.
