The overall concept of describing the author's process for making a book is very appropriate and connects to the curriculum. However, the manner in which the material was presented by the speaker was above the student's heads. It would be more developmentally appropriate for older students, not k-2 classes.

Suggestions to artists for improvements: |

An assembly for young children needs a variety of motivating ways and multi media in which the material should be presented, including photos. A microphone would be hlepful too.
