This is an absolutely amazing experience where the students were able to tap into their inner artist and create a custom hat. Hosting Graf Lab Studios aligns with the New York State Visual Arts Standards by engaging students in creating, presenting, responding to, and connecting with works of art. This fun graffiti-inspired experience definitely provided each of our fourth graders with an authentic opportunity for creative expression while introducing them to the contemporary art practice so many artists use.

I highly recommend bringing Graf Lab to schools! I provided our students with an engaging, standards-based arts experience that promoted creativity, self-expression, collaboration, and FUN. Students learned from our visiting artists and created hats that reflected their individuality! THANK YOU!
