My student was very comfortable with participating in various settings at different levels. He felt very motivated to continue percussion into middle school, and has gained a new level of confidence in his playing. I noticed, during the world drumming portion, that he was very eager and confident to try other percussion instruments at any time.

Suggestions to artists for improvements: |

The link from the SCMEA nominations page to the Day of percussion worksheet did not work, so it took me a while to find the music for my student. Once the the Day Of began, I noticed he didn't even need that sheet music, nor was it used at any of the clinics I saw. I felt it would have been more interactive if the parts were used at some point.
