Describe the way(s) this program impacts your students learning and how this arts experience correlates with your curriculum: |
This program fits in perfectly with my curriculum.
The multicultural Craft class and all my art classes focus on the handmade and arts impact on culture. Art and science came together in this program,as well as music.Mr.Pitkin includes the history and plight of the Aboriginal people, the habitats of Australia and the way people live off the land, respect the land and carry on their traditions through art and storytelling within the symbols in the art.
The kids were completely engaged and didn't want to leave. This is an impactful, rich program!!
