Describe the way(s) this program impacts your students learning and how this arts experience correlates with your curriculum:
The program gave the children the opportunity to see and hear the string instruments played by professional musicians. The show was interactive and gave students a chance to perform with the musicians. I would have appreciated more lead time to prepare the students who sang and to include the repertoire in my classroom. I only see the students once a week and I am in 2 buildings so even if I got the material in 2 weeks it would not give enough time to plan and implement learning all of the material. Fortunately it was familiar enough and was enjoyed by all.
Suggestions to artists for improvements:
Send the information to the music teacher as soon as the group is booked so the material can be included in the lessons prior to the visit.
